This policy explains what PingOwner needs to run the service and the choices you have around your information.
What we collect
When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, account credentials, notification preferences, and the item labels you add to your tags. When a finder contacts an owner, we record the message, the tag involved, and any contact details the finder chooses to provide.
How we use information
We use this information to activate and manage tags, deliver finder messages, send account and security notices, provide support, prevent abuse, and keep the service working. We do not need your home address to provide the core service.
Private contact by default
A tag does not need to display your phone number or email address. Finder messages are sent through the contact flow and delivered using the notification options connected to your account. You decide what to share in your profile and in any reply.
Information sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers that help us host the application, send notifications, protect the service, or provide support. Those providers receive only what they need for their assigned task. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect people, property, or the service.
Retention and choices
We keep account and tag information while it is needed to operate your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can update profile and notification settings from your dashboard. To ask about access, correction, or deletion, contact support.
Cookies and basic technical data
PingOwner may use cookies or similar technical information to keep you signed in, protect forms, remember preferences, and understand basic service performance. We do not use the tag as a location tracker.
Children and changes
PingOwner is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We may update this policy when the service changes. If an update matters, we will make the revised date clear on this page.
