Security starts with good habits
Security Terms
These terms set practical expectations for using PingOwner safely and responsibly.
Use the service responsibly
Use PingOwner for items you own or are authorized to manage. Do not use a tag to impersonate another person, collect information under false pretenses, harass a finder, or place someone at risk.
Keep your account safe
Choose a strong password, keep it private, and sign out of shared devices. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed it without permission.
Tag and profile content
You are responsible for the labels, contact details, and other information you add. Do not include sensitive details such as passwords, payment card numbers, or your full home address in a public-facing item label.
What PingOwner can and cannot guarantee
We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards to protect the service, and we work to keep tags available. A QR tag is not GPS, theft insurance, or a guarantee that a finder will scan or return an item. Please use it alongside sensible physical security.
Reporting a problem
If you see suspicious activity, a tag used improperly, or a message that feels unsafe, contact support@pingowner.com with the tag code and relevant details. Do not put yourself in danger to recover an item.
Service changes and suspension
We may update, limit, or suspend parts of the service to fix problems, respond to abuse, comply with law, or protect users. We may deactivate accounts or tags that are used in a way that threatens the service or other people.
Agreement and updates
By using PingOwner, you agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly. We may update these terms as the product develops; the date below shows when this page was last revised.
Last updated: August 4, 2026. These terms are general product terms and are not a substitute for legal advice. Questions can be sent to support@pingowner.com.
